2013 Honda CR V launched with an aggressive price of Rs 19.95 lakh
The New Honda CRV upgradation is more on the cosmetic side with a few nip and tuck rather than on the technical side; the engines powering the earlier CRV i.e. the 2.0 litre and 2.4 litre engine are still seen under the hoods of the vehicle. However, the Japanese auto major has altered the engines a tad bit in order to increase the power figures which translate into higher fuel efficiency figures. What catches the eye in the launch of Honda CRV is the news that Honda is now going to locally produce the 2013 CR V at HCIL's manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, UP. Moreover Honda has jump started the bookings of new CRV at the company’s vast distribution network of 141 facilities which are spread across 88 cities in India.
Honda has craved its own niche from the time it entered India in terms of class and quality, the same goes for its fleet of powerful and fuel economic engines. When it came to powering the all new Honda CRV the Japanese auto major relied on the same engines that were doing duty in the third generation, the 2.0L and 2.4L petrol mills which are now available with manual as well as automatic transmissions.
The engine line 2.0L SOHC i-VTEC engine comes with two wheel drive option whereas the high power the 2.4L DOHC i-VTEC engine gives you a taste of Honda’s original REALTIMETM four wheel drive technology.
