Ashok Leyland bags $6.5-m Bangladesh order
Chennai: Ashok Leyland has bagged a $6.5-million order from Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation for 88 air-conditioned buses.
This comes close on the heels of the order for 50 vestibule bus from the transport corporation.
The new order comes under the Indian Line of Credit scheme offered for the improvement of urban transportation in that country. This order will add to the 11,000 vehicles that have been exported to Bangladesh. The company's international volumes touched 12,852 vehicles, a growth of 25 per cent.
