Datsun Go hatchback launched at a starting price of Rs 3.12 lakh

The car has several unique features that include the gear lever and parking brake handle on the centre console, while the front seats are connected and that means a third person can be accommodated

New Delhi: Datsun has launched its much awaited car 'Go' priced between ₹3,12,270 and ₹3,69,999. The Datsun Go will be available in three models D, A and T, the company said. Go has a 1.2-litre petrol engine with features including electric power steering and ventalised disc brakes, the company added.

The Go is built on the platform of the Nissan Micra. The 3-cylinder engine delivers power of 68 bhp and torque of 104 NM. It has a fuel economy fugure of 21 km per litre.  With the wheelbase of 2450 mm, the GO is 3785mm long and 1635mm wide. The car has good ground clearance of 170mm.

The car has a three-spoke steering wheel, white and blue lit speedometer, a digital tachometer, gear shift guide and fuel-consumption measuring feature. The Go also gets the segment first feature of Follow Me Home lights. The GO is expected to give stiff competition to its rivals — Hyundai Eon and Maruti Alto.
