Oil

As motorists, we should be checking our engine oil level at regular intervals all year round but paying particular attention to it in winter is never a bad idea.

Oil can thicken in cold weather but you can avoid this by topping up with a product that has a good cold viscosity rating. The best policy when choosing an engine oil, though, is always to stick with the manufacturer's recommendations.
