Next to the power-crazed RS7 and S3 Sportbacks and the mad RS Q3 off-roader, the German firm’s other Geneva debutant – the A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid concept – is rather sedate.

But don’t think that makes it boring. Under the relatively normal A3 Sportback exterior lurks some clever tech.
