How many times do you see the word 'legendary' used to describe a car? Well, occasionally, a car comes along that can justifiably live up to its 'legendary' tag. One such car is the one-off Shelby GT500 Super Snake.

It was a demonstration vehicle built in 1967 and, following the Mecum Auctions' sale of muscle cars last month, is now officially the most expensive Mustang ever to be sold at auction.
