Hatchback? Um....utility vehicle? I'd say somewhere in between would be closer to the truth where the Mercedes B-Class is concerned. Which, to my mind, is a good thing. Firstly, it stands out in the overcrowded hatchback arena. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, it's roomier than most of the other hatches. Besides, it offers a bigger boot than most too, even though the spare wheel strapped on the boot floor robs it of a lot of space.
