While the F40 may not be a classic of the school of elegant design, it's surely the most iconic Ferrari of the recent era, a rich mix of butch and purpose in an expressionistic fantasy that has adorned bedroom walls for decades. Launched in 1987, it founded the line that gave rise to the F50 and Enzo, and was also the world's first true 'hypercar' with a 200mph+ top speed.
