One of the greatest perks of being a head of state must be the choice of company car. Sure, you really ought to do the patriotic thing and choose something built in your own country, but that isn’t always an option. And besides, when money is quite literally no object, it pays to shop around.

Surely the world’s most famous state vehicle is President Barack Obama’s Cadillac One, nicknamed “The Beast”. Only it isn’t a Cadillac at all. Underneath that presidential facade, you’ll find the chassis, engine and transmission from a Chevrolet Kodiak truck. Still, it does have headlights from the Cadillac Escalade and taillights from the STS.
